Research Assistant, BKA residual limb shape change, UW Bioengineering

Seattle, WA

Conducted research in diurnal shape changes of below-the-knee amputation (BKA) residual limbs with the goal of improving prosthetic socket fit and thus limb function. Developed algorithm, protocol, and programs to spatially locate and quantify said changes and to standardize them for comparative analysis. Researched methodology and created hardware to calibrate the CCD camera employed in the gathering of data.
